Call for Papers

The LOC invites prospective authors who wish to present papers at the conference to submit their original research and or technical report. Manuscripts should be well written in English language in any of the sub-themes listed below. Authors should indicate the sub-theme and preferred mode of presentation (poster or Oral) of the paper at top their manuscript.

MANUSCRI P T S PRE PARAT ION

GUIDELINES

Manuscript(s) for Oral Presentation Should contain an abstract of not more than 250 words, should not exceed four pages and should be divided into Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion and Recommendation and

References. Poster papers should contain an extended abstract of not more than two pages. The extended abstract should be divided into short introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion and references. Manuscript should be prepared in Microsoft Word using Times New Roman typed in single line spacing and font size 11 on A4 paper with top, bottom and side margins of 1 inch. Please do not number the pages. The first line of the page should be left blank, the second line should carry the title in bold uppercase letter of font 12 and aligned to the centre. The next line should be left blank.

Authors' affiliations should follow. Authors with different institutional affiliations should be separated by the use of symbols (e.g. *, + etc.). Leave space on the next line and type abstract to the left margin followed by the body of the abstract on the next line. The abstract should be the summary of the paper describing the objectives or aim of the study, materials and methods and results and discussion. Please provide five (5) key words below the abstract for indexing. The entire text should be fully justified and organized into sub-sections in lower case letters. Each sub-section heading should be bold, justified and in sentence case. The text must begin on the next line after each heading without indentation. Table and figures should be inserted where they are discussed in the text. The manuscript may contain as many tables figures and plates as possible, as long as the manuscript does not exceed 4 pages. References should follow the APA reference style.

ORAL PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

Authors are advised to prepare in power point as multimedia projectors will be available at the conference venue. Participants must register to enable paper presentation. Presentation of paper(s) by proxy will not be permitted.

POSTER PREPARATION GUIDELINE

i. Moderate poster size of 90cm (Horizontal) X120 cm (Vertical)

ii. Poster must be designed in Portrait orientation

iii. Poster must include title, author's name, abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusion and recommendation and selected references.

iv. The use of charts, tables, figures and pictures is encouraged.

SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPT

Publication charge of N4,000 per manuscript is payable on submission of the manuscript to the following account:
